「モンタンカン」チームとコラボレーションした商品です。“木単管”の発想はとてもシンプル。仮設足場の資材として広く普及している“単管システム”の金属パイプを、間伐材のヒノキから削り出した丸棒へと置き換えただけ。拡張性の高い“単管システム”と規格を合わせることで、クランプなどの豊富なパーツがそのまま“木単管”でも使えます。“木単管”は日本の森で育ったヒノキの間伐材を使用しています。間伐材の利活用はどの生産地でも必ず直面する課題。また、ヒノキの木目はどことなくもったりとなまめかしく、伝統的な“和”の建材としての雰囲気が強いため、これまで使うシーンが限定されがちでした。そんなヒノキを丸棒という幾何学的な形に削り出すことによって、温かなリビングにも、おしゃれなカフェにもフィットする“木単管”が生まれました。

この”CONSENTABLE/mok”は、こんな“木単管”の機能性と美しく切り出されたヒノキの木目に焦点を当ててデザインしました。

It’s the product by collaboration with “moktankan”.

The idea of “moktankan” is very simple. Just replacing the metal pipe of the "single pipe system" which is widely used as the material of the temporary scaffolding to the round bar shaved out from thinned timber hinoki. By matching the standard with a highly expandable "single pipe system", rich parts such as clamps can be used directly as "tree single pipe". From the private furniture to the use in the store and the public space, the spread of "tree single pipe" is infinite.

"moktankan" is made of thinned timber harvested to regenerate the devastated Japanese forests. The use of thinned timber is the challenge that Japanese forests are always faced with. In other words,distributing "mokutankan" should be a solution to the problem of Japanese forests.
This "CONSENTABLE / mok" has been designed with the focus on the functionality and the beautiful grain of Hinoki.
